OYSCOHEST PROVOST, MRS. OLUYEMISI OYEWO, FELICITATES CHRISTIAN STAFF AND STUDENTS ON EASTER CELEBRATION

The Provost of Oyo State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan, Pharmacist Mrs. Oluyemisi Moradeke Oyewo, has extended her warm felicitations to all Christian staff and students of the institution on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.

In a statement issued in Ibadan and made available to journalists, the Provost thanked God Almighty for preserving their lives to witness another Easter in good health and sound mind. She described Easter as a sacred season that calls for deep reflection on the core values of forgiveness, sacrifice, love, humility, and unwavering commitment to God and humanity.

She noted that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ remain the cornerstone of the Christian faith, symbolizing hope, redemption, and victory over sin. She emphasized that Christ’s ultimate sacrifice on the Cross for the salvation of mankind serves as a powerful reminder of selflessness and unconditional love, urging Christians to reciprocate this divine love by living upright lives marked by strong moral and spiritual values.

The Provost further admonished staff and students to emulate the exemplary life of Jesus Christ by fostering unity, peace, and mutual respect within the College community and beyond. She stressed that genuine love for one another is essential for building a harmonious and progressive society.

While appreciating the resilience, diligence, and unwavering commitment of the staff and students, the Provost urged them to sustain the momentum in order to achieve greater milestones for the College.

She also called on members of staff to continue to uphold the institution in prayers during and after the Easter celebrations, especially as the College continues to advance its mission as a leading health institution with a proud legacy spanning 93 years. She encouraged the workforce to remain steadfast, dedicated, and committed to excellence in their respective duties.

She concluded by praying that the blessings of the risen Christ fill every heart with joy, peace, and renewed strength, and that God grants the heart desires of all staff and students.
