The Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in Oyo State, Pastor Engr. Dr. Ademola Aderinto, has congratulated his younger sister, Mrs. Adepeju Aderinto-Owa, on her conferment with a Distinguished Award of Honorary Doctorate Degree of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Financial Management.
The recognition came just two days after the Honourable Commissioner marked his birthday and three months in office, a milestone celebrated by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the Head of Service (HOS), and other top government dignitaries.
The honour was conferred on Saturday, April 25, 2026, by Prowess University during a ceremony held at the KAAF Auditorium.
The event drew family members, friends, and well-wishers, including Hon. Ademola Aderinto, who attended in support of his sister.
Dr. Adepeju currently steers the affairs of Credit Support NG LTD and serves as Director across several other corporations.
Speaking at the event, the Honourable Commissioner expressed pride in his sister’s achievement, describing it as well deserved and a reflection of her consistent excellence, dedication, and drive for success.
He encouraged her to remain steadfast, adding that “the best is yet to come.”
Mrs. Adepeju Aderinto-Owa has distinguished herself through notable professional accomplishments and active membership in reputable bodies. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), as well as an Affiliate Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance Accountants (UK).
She is also a Fellow of several institutions, including the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria, the Institute of Organizational & Administrative Risk Management, the Chartered Institute of Information and Strategy Management, the Chartered Institute of Mentoring and Coaching Nigeria, the Institute of Intrapreneurship and Human Resource Development, and the Institute of Arts and Management Professionals.
Beyond her professional attainments, she serves as an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador and an African Union Ambassador, reflecting her commitment to leadership and service across the continent. She is also a recipient of the Nelson Mandela Award of Excellence and Integrity.
A devoted wife and mother of three, Mrs. Aderinto-Owa continues to inspire through resilience, consistency, and a passion for value creation, standing as a role model to professionals and young people alike.
