OLUBADAN DECLARES HIS BELIEF IN THE EFFICACY OF PRAYER

His Imperial Majesty Oba (Dr) Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja (Arusa1) has declared his strong belief in the efficacy of prayer for anybody to succeed in life

The declaration was contained in the press statement issued and signed by the Chief Press Secretary to Olubadan of Ibadanland Chief Ayoade Solomon Olugbemiga while receiving the primate of the African Church,His Eminence Julius Osayande Olayinka Abbe and his entourage at Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan on Tuesday 

" I was enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland and since then my performances are being successfully implemented through my fervent prayer 

" Prayer is the communication between God and man consequently through prayer the relationship between God and man is cemented and improved ", Olubadan explained 

The paramount ruler called on religious leaders to continue praying for their leaders, their towns and their country as a whole especially in this period of insecurity,  violence, economic recession , religious bigotry and intolerance 

The monarch disclosed that people from all walks of life witnessed his coronation with high expectations for which he needs prayer of everyone to meet the needs of the people 

"Unlike political leaders whose movements are restricted, few visitors are welcomed and even their utterances written and edited, people visit me at my residence,at the palace, wanting to hear from me directly  on some critical issues and as their servant sending me on errands to the people in power", Kabiyesi explained 

Earlier in his address, Primate of the African Church ,His Eminence Julius Osayande Olayinka Abbe appreciated the warm reception accorded him and the members of his entourage 

The Primate said the good news heard about Ibadan-land since the enthronement of Oba Ladoja as Olubadan of Ibadanland attracted people to pay visit to the ancient city of Ibadan. Such good news are  the request for the creation of Ibadan State, his fighting insecurity, his desire for peaceful co-existence, resuscitation of moribund companies in Ibadan, fighting against land grabbers and injecting sanity into traditional institutions among others

Going through the memory lane, the Primate revealed that African Church left Anglican church and was founded in year 1901 with it's branches all over Nigeria . According to him, African Church is having a 3 day ( Wednesday - Friday of this week ) Committee meeting at Salvation Army area of Ibadan featuring service of songs, praise worship, prayers and deliberations

He prayed God to give Olubadan longevity of life in the service of God and humanity, victory on all the challenges facing him, executing the projects envisaged and peace throughout his reign 

In a related development, the Acting Custom Comptroller Oyo/Osun Area Command, DC Wale Adewole with his top ranking officers paid visit to Olubadan 

DC Adewale said they visited His Imperial Majesty Oba Ladoja to congratulate him on his ascension to the throne of his forefathers , to receive royal blessings and seek support of the Royal Father for the successful execution of the tasks ahead

Present at the courtesy visits were Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, Ashipa Olubadan of Ibadanland Oba Salawudeen Amidu Ajibade, Ashipa Balogun of Ibadanland Oba Dauda Abiodun Azees, Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland Oba Akeem Mobolaji Adewoyin, former President General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII ) Chief Mustapha  Adebayo Oyero, present President General Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes  Chief Ajeniyi Ajewole and Chief (Mrs ) Bola Doherty among others
