The Provost of the Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology (OYSCOHEST), Eleyele, Ibadan, Pharm. (Mrs) Oluyemisi Moradeke Oyewo has congratulated members of staff and students of the College for witnessing the 2025 Christmas celebration.
The congratulatory message was contained in a release issued by the College Public Relations Officer, Mr Sola Samuel Ojewole.
Mrs Oyewo expressed her profound gratitude to God for preserving the lives of the staff and students despite the prevailing socio-economic and security challenges in the country, noting that it is by divine grace that they are counted among the living.
The Provost admonished the members of staff and students to uphold the core lessons of Christmas, which centre on love, selflessness, and righteousness. She urged workers to love one another and continually pursue what is right at all times.
Commending the entire workforce for their commitment and dedication, Mrs Oyewo encouraged them to always reflect on their individual contributions towards moving the College to greater heights.
She further charged the staff and students, not to lose hope over life’s challenges, emphasising that the birth of Jesus Christ signifies salvation, redemption, grace, joy, and freedom, admonishing them to put their hope and trust in God.
She stressed the importance of continuous prayers for themselves and the progress of the College, adding that building the institution is a collective responsibility of the Management and the entire workforce, anchored on love and unity of purpose.
Mrs Oyewo concluded by praying that God grants the heartfelt desires of all staff and students, urging them to emulate the virtues of Jesus Christ; righteousness, faithfulness, love, humility, and prayerfulness, as they celebrate His birth.
