The Oyo State Sports Council proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of Adesope Abiola Wali, a para table tennis star who continues to elevate the state and the nation with his remarkable performances.
Adesope Abiola Wali, born in Foko, Ibadan, has consistently demonstrated excellence on the local, national and international stage, winning numerous medals for Oyo State and Nigeria in Class 9.
National Sports Festival (Asaba 2022) he Won three gold medals representing Oyo State in para table tennis.
International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Tournament – Giza, Egypt (September 20–23, 2023)
Won 2 gold medals for Nigeria: 1 gold in singles event and 1 gold in mixed doubles event.
National Para Games, Abuja (December 8–14, 2023)
Won 1 gold medal in the doubles event and won 1 silver medal in the singles event.
International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Tournament – Giza, Egypt (November 13–15, 2025)
Won 2 gold medals 1 gold in singles event and 1 gold in mixed doubles event and also won 1 silver medal in doubles event.
West African Zone A & B Para Games – Abeokuta, Ogun State (November 26 – December 3, 2025)
At the maiden edition of the West African Zone A & B Para Games, Adesope once again delivered an exceptional performance, winning 2 gold medals for Nigeria: 1 gold in singles event and 1 gold in doubles event.
These achievements underscore Adesope Abiola Wali’s remarkable talent and unwavering dedication.
His continuous success has brought pride and glory to Oyo State and to Nigeria, further establishing him as one of the nation’s shining para sports ambassadors.
