The Information Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has congratulated the newly elected leadership of the council, led by Comrade Akeem Abas, describing their emergence as a victory for unity, professionalism, and the collective progress of journalists in the state.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the chairman of the chapel, Comrade Ismail Fasasi, the chapel applauded the peaceful conduct of the election and commended members for demonstrating high levels of decorum throughout the process.
He expressed confidence that the new executive team will further strengthen the union and uphold the values of integrity and responsible journalism.
