The Oyo State Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Dr. Jonathan Adedokun as the Rector of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.
In the same vein, Mrs. Akintunde Abosede has been appointed as the Registrar, while Mrs. Adejuwon Sekinat has been named the Bursar of the institution.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola, disclosed this on Tuesday in his office while receiving the approval letter from His Excellency, the Governor.
Hon. Olayiwola explained that the appointment of the three principal officers followed due process, noting that the exercise commenced with a public advertisement in national newspapers and was followed by a series of interviews conducted by the Governing Council of the institution, chaired by Prof. Kazeem Adebiyi.
According to the Commissioner, the Governing Council’s report was subsequently submitted to his office, upon which he made recommendations to the Governor. These recommendations culminated in the final approval and appointment by His Excellency.
While congratulating the newly appointed officers, Hon. Olayiwola stated that their appointments take effect from December 15, 2025, and are for a single tenure of five years.
