ONJO, OYSCOHEST GOVERNING COUNCIL CHAIRMAN, PROVOST ADMONISH OKE OGUN LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMEN AND PHILANTHROPISTS TO SPONSOR INDIGENT STUDENTS INTO OYSCOHEST OKEHO SATELLITE CAMPUS






The ONJO of Okeho, Oba Rafiu Osuolale Adeitan II, the Chairman, Governing Council, Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele Ibadan, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan, the College Provost, Pharmacist  Oluyemisi Moradeke Oyewo, and the Chairman, Apero Omo Okeho, Pastor Favour Adewoyin, alongside others, have called on Chairmen of Local Governments in Oke Ogun areas, philanthropists, and wealthy individuals to sponsor indigent students into the Oke Ogun Satellite Campus of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology,  in the  ongoing 2025/2026 admission.



They made the appeal in Okeho during the maiden visit of the  College Governing Council to the Okeho Satellite Campus on Friday, 14th November 2025.



Receiving the visiting team in his palace, the ONJO of Okeho, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rafiu Osuolale Adeitan II, commended the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, for all the development projects and programmes of his government since the inception of office in 2019 till date.



The Monarch equally eulogised the government for its support to the satellite campus, appealing to the Governor to give autonomy to the Okeho Satellite Campus for it to assume full-fledged status as a Health Training Institution.



Oba Osuolale Adeitan praised the Governing Council, the Management, and Staff of the College for sustaining the development and progress of the Okeho Satellite Campus, which was established in 2015.


The Oba called on Local Government Chairmen in Oke Ogun areas, philanthropists, and wealthy individuals to sponsor students from Oke Ogun into the Satellite Campus in the ongoing 2025/2026 academic session admission.

In his remarks at the Palace of Onjo, the Chairman, Governing Council, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan, appealed to the royal father to prevail on local Government Chairmen in Oke Ogun areas and the Oke Ogun Traditional Council of Obas to facilitate the sponsorship of more indigent students into the Satellite Campus for it to move forward.



He informed the Monarch that the College has been doing a lot for the institution to move to the next level, urging the people in Oke Ogun areas to send their children to the school and sponsor the less privileged too.



The Provost of the Oyo  College,  Pharmacist  Oluyemisi Moradeke Oyewo, in her brief remarks, appealed to well-meaning individuals, local government Chairmen, and parents at large to sponsor and send their children into the Satellite Campus. She commended the community leaders for  supporting the progress of the school.



In an interview, the President of Apero Omo Okeho, Pastor Favour Adewoyin, and other community leaders praised the efforts of the Governing Council and the Management of the College.



At a meeting with the visiting Team, issues were raised on how best the Satellite Campus could move forward, and the community leaders resolved to further reach out to improve on the number of new intakes.



The Provost of the  instantaneously approved the request of some Health Assistant graduates in the Okeho Satellite Campus to commence their two-year Course for conversion to Health Technicians, while other requests of the students are to be attended to accordingly by the Management of the College in the overall interest of the students and other stakeholders.

Some of the students interviewed, expressed their delight at the visit to the Satellite campus, noting that such a visit will proffer solutions to some of the tethering, lingering issues.
