The Provost of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan, Mrs. Oluyemisi Oyewo, has congratulated the staff and students of the College on witnessing Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary in good health despite the challenges facing the nation.
Her congratulatory message was contained in an official press statement issued in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, and made available to journalists.
Mrs. Oyewo commended the staff for their resilience and dedication to duty in spite of the nation’s economic challenges affecting the people.
She urged both staff and students not to lose faith in God for a better Nigeria, but to continue to pray for His provision, protection, and sustenance.
“As long as there is life, there is hope,” the Provost encouraged, adding that everyone should hold on to their faith and remain positive in all circumstances.
Pharmacist Oyewo also appreciated the Governing Council and the Management of the College for their various contributions to the growth and development of the institution.
She further advised staff to uphold moderation, contentment, and perseverance in their daily lives, while being grateful for the gift of good health which enables life to continue.
The Provost wished all Nigerians a happy Independence Day celebration and prayed that God would grant everyone the desires of their hearts.
