The Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, MCIPM, mni has charged the newly inaugurated Executive Members of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Pacesetter Chapter to adhere strictly with the professional code of conduct of the Institute.
She made this known during the Inauguration of the Pacesetter Chapter of the Institute held at the Head of Service Conference Room, Secretariat, Ibadan.
She said the inauguration of the Pacesetter Chapter marks a bold step in deepening the professionalization of Human Resources (HR) practice within the Oyo State.
She added that the establishment of the chapter is a clear demonstration to build strong partnerships with CIPM which according to her would play a pivotal role in providing best practices in talent acquisition, employee engagement, organisational development and capacity building.
She said "I encourage members of this newly inaugurated Chapter to take full advantage of the opportunities that CIPM offers whether through its structured professional programmes, training workshops, certification pathways, research and policy engagements, these will not only enhance your capacity but also foster unity among HR professionals in the State".
The Head of Service commended the present administration in the State under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde for the deep commitment to transforming Oyo State into a hub of innovation, economic growth and sustainable development.
Mrs Olubunmi Oni enjoined the pioneer Executive Committee of the CIPM, Pacesetter Chapter to empower members with the knowledge, skills and expertise required to support the vision and to drive excellence across the Civil Service.
“I assure you that the State Government will continue to partner with CIPM to enhance the professional competence of our workforce, we look forward to deeper collaboration through training programmes, research initiatives and knowledge-sharing platforms that will help reposition the Oyo State Civil Service as a model excellence".
She then congratulated the pioneer of the Executive Committee led by Dr. Olusoji Alaruru Adeyanju and other members of the Executives for accepting the call to service.
In his remark, the National President of the Institute, Mallam Ahmed Ladan said Civil/Public Service is the backbone of governance and societal development, saying that it is through a competent, ethical and motivated workforce that government policies are translated into impactful actions for the people.
Mallam Ladan appreciated the State Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni for her visionary leadership, unflinching support and unwavering commitment to effective governance and excellent service delivery.
"Your dedication to nurturing a professional, ethical and result-driven Civil/Public Service resonate deeply with the ethos of the CIPM, your guidance has not only strengthened Civil/Public Service of Oyo State but has also provided an enabling environment for initiatives such as the pacesetter chapter to thrive".
