The Oyo State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Professor Dahud Shangodoyin, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for granting him the privilege to serve the state and its people.
Professor Shangodoyin made this known during a modest birthday celebration held in his office, which was graced by Secretary to the State Government, Commissioners, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Ministry directors, and staff.
In her goodwill message, the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Kudirat Adeyemo, described Professor Shangodoyin as a visionary leader whose humility and sense of duty continue to inspire not only the ministry’s workforce but also the larger state service. She praised his unwavering commitment to Governor Makinde’s vision of sustainable development in Oyo State.
The event was marked by warm wishes, heartfelt prayers, and thoughtful gifts from staff, reflecting the unity and camaraderie that define the ministry.
In his appreciation message, Professor Shangodoyin thanked the Permanent Secretary, Directors, Deputy Directors, and the entire staff for their kind gestures.
"I am humbled by your show of love and honoured to serve alongside such a dedicated and supportive team,” he said. “Your commitment and professionalism make our collective mission of advancing sustainable energy and responsible mineral development in Oyo State both achievable and rewarding.”
The Commissioner further expressed his deep appreciation to Governor Makinde for his trust and support, stressing that the ministry remains committed to initiatives that promote energy security, renewable energy growth, and responsible mineral resource management across the state.
Professor Shangodoyin reaffirmed his resolve to continue working hand-in-hand with the ministry’s workforce to achieve their shared goals and deliver meaningful impact for the people of Oyo State.
