ALADEKUGBE ADMONISHES FG TO RUN PEOPLE ORIENTED GOVERNMENT

 

The Archbishop of Ibadan Ecclesiastical province and the bishop of Ibadan North Anglican Diocese,the Most Reverend Williams Oluwarotimi Aladekugbe has once again admonished the Federal Government to give priority attention to the welfare of Nigerians.

The call was made during the Trinity Ordination and Collation of Archdeacons today Sunday 29th June, 2025 at Bishop Oyebode Memorial Anglican church, Agugu, Ibadan.

Most Reverend Williams Aladekugbe reminded the Federal Government of the challenges facing the country which includes insecurity, hunger,anger, unemployment among others  and do what is humanly possible to reduce the challenges to the nearest minimum 

" Nigeria is blessed with both human and natural resources, why are we suffering in the midst of plenty ", the clergy queried 

He enjoined both the leaders and led to take Nigeria to a great height so as to to  reach our promised land soonest 

The Archbishop  charged the newly ordained priests to be evangelical and be filled with the holy spirit so as to move the Diocese forward.

He enjoined the ordained priests to go into the world to preach the gospel and win souls for Christ without fear, intimidation and persecution 

"Ensure the fulfilment of your pledges during the Trinity Ordination and Collation of Archdeacons service and also be obedient to canonical laws as contained in the church of Nigeria Anglican Communion constitution

In his sermon , the guest preacher, Right Reverend Samuel Olukunle Egbebunmi asked all Christians to be holy spirit filled to be able to carry out our works in God's vineyard 

" Both the clergy and laity need the Holy Spirit for the flesh cannot do the work of the spirit 

 Eschew bitter against each other and uphold the church of Nigeria, Anglican communion doctrine .Also contribute your quotas physically, spiritually and financially for the progress of our Diocese.

Gracing the Ordination and Collation of Archdeacons service were His Royal Majesty Dr. Victor Jide Akinloye, the Akota of Ikota kingdom, Ondo State of Nigeria, clergy and their wives, legal luminaries, business tycoons, political leaders, community leaders among others.
