The Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has received eulogies from the Archbishop of Ibadan Province and Bishop for being a good and worthy ambassador of the Anglican communion.
The ArchBishop of Ibadan Province and Bishop of Ibadan North Diocese, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Most Rev. Dr. W. O Aladekugbe gave the eulogy at the Thanksgiving Service marking the 92nd anniversary and 19th Convocation Ceremony of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele , Ibadan held in the College Hall on Sunday, 13th April, 2025.
Delivering the sermon at the Thanksgiving Service he charged the graduands to be ambassadors of God and the College, and encouraged both the graduands and the students to remain steadfast in their faith and strive for excellence in all their endeavours.
The Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, who was also present at the Thanksgiving Service, in her address to the congregation, charged the students to remain disciplined and focused on God. She noted that these values are critical for success in their future careers. Dr. Ajetunmobi also urged the students to be worthy ambassadors of the institution, carrying forward the strong moral and academic foundation laid during their time in the College.
Dr. Ajetunmobi commended His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for his support for the College, adding that this has made it possible for the college to keep on advancing.
She lauded the College Provost. Pharm. Oluyemisi Oyewo and the Management team for
the unity among them which has made the innovations in the College possible, charging them to continue to work together as a team.
The anniversary and Convocation Ceremonies commenced on Friday, 11th April with a Special Jumat Service.
The Provost of the College, Pharmacist Oluyemisi Oyewo, expressed appreciation to the State Governor for the provision of an enabling environment for the College to thrive and thanked the Honourable Commissioner for her unwavering support and presence at the event. She further announced that the Convocation Ceremony will hold on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
Also in attendance at the event was the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Akintunde Ayinde, alongside other dignitaries, staff, graduands, students, and well-wishers.
