Oyo NUJ Urges Tolerance and Prayer for Government This Easter Season

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Oyo State has congratulated all and sundry on this year’s Easter celebration.

The NUJ delivers a timely message of tolerance and prayer for the leaders of government amidst economic challenges facing Nigerians.

In a statement signed by the chairman, Alhaji Ademola Babalola, and secretary, Sola Oladapo, the NUJ calls upon all citizens, particularly Christians, to reflect on the teachings of Jesus Christ during this significant period.

Emphasizing the need for prayer and support for government leadership, the NUJ highlights the importance of unity and compassion in the face of adversity.

Echoing the spirit of Easter, they urged individuals to emulate Jesus Christ's humility and obedience to overcome challenges.

Furthermore, the NUJ encourages acts of kindness and assistance to the less privileged in the society, emphasizing the importance of love and care within the community.

In the light of the concurrent fasting periods observed by both Christians and Muslims, the NUJ underscores the significance of mutual respect and understanding among all faiths.

Finally, the NUJ appeals to responsible spending during the Easter season, recognizing the prevailing economic hardships and urging citizens to exercise prudence in their financial decisions.

Through this message, the NUJ aims to foster a spirit of resilience, empathy, and solidarity among the people of Oyo State, echoing the timeless values of Easter.
