Insecurity: Shafaudeen Boss Wants FG To Empower Traditional Rulers

As Otamokun Residents Welcome Him To His Ancestral City With Funfare 

The paramount ruler of Otamokun kingdom in Oyo State His Royal Highness Oba Deacon Samson Moronfoye Ogunbode Oyewole II, Gbadewolu I, the Olotamokun of Otamokun kingdom and the entire residents of the ancient town will never forget the Grand entry of the Arole Ogun-Elu of Aare Alasa Dynasty Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP who paid an historical visit to his Ancestral home where 

his family hailed from before settling in different parts of the world. 

Prof. Olagoke JP who arrived Otamokun at about 11:45am on Tuesday 20th February 2024 was welcomed by thousands of residents of the ancient town from Old Elega Road which was later renamed Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP Road by Oba Samson Moronfoye who was highly excited by the historic visit of the renown lecturer, Academician and Clergy of repute.

While welcoming Prof. Olagoke JP and his Entourage to the ancient town Oba Deacon Samson Moronfoye who called for the development of the ancient town by Sons and Daughters of the town in the Diaspora to emulate Prof. Olagoke JP by coming home to impact positively on the town and it's residents. 

Oba Moronfoye added that " This is Iwoya, Otamokun town , which you claimed to be your source and which I believe that it is so due to the history being told and verified, therefore, I am appealing to you sir, to kindly make an unforgettable Impacts on your noble town (Otamokun). The town that migrated from our source Saki omo ogun o rokin, Omo agbede o ro bata. 

The paramount ruler Oba Deacon Samson however reminded Prof. Olagoke JP of his pledges to develop Otamokun after his historic and significant impact in Ejigbo. 

You said and I quote " after this Ejemu projects, come next is my source, Otamokun " and thank God He has brought you and our people from Ejemu compound , Ejigbo to this place.

 While speaking at the event Alhaji Ismaeel Salaudeen (Amala) the Mogaji Esin of the Aare-Alasa Dynasty stated that what Prof. Sabit Olagoke JP put together in Ibadan and Ejigbo will not be difficult for him in Otamokun but urged the leaders and the led of Otamokun to comply with the ideologies of the Rasool and ensure that love and peace reign among them so as to witness an unprecedented development in the ancient town. 

Visit to Ancestral places was made; the Palace under construction, Ogun Shrine (Iwoya) brought 

forth from Shaki and the historical graves of the ancestors including that of the Great Founder and Oba of Otamokun- Oba Onipode.

Of the ten ruling houses in Otamokun,The OgunElu Ejemu was acknowledged and charged on the day of the visit as they were reminded to take their rightful position in the scheme of developing the City, Otamokun.

Meanwhile worried by the alarming rates of insecurity in the country, the Founder and Spiritual Head of the Shafaudeen In Islam worldwide Alhaji Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP has called on the Federal Government to massively empower  the Traditional Rulers across the Country because of their closeness to the grassroots. 

The Arole Ogun-Elu Aare Alasa Dynasty made this call while paying a thank you visit to the Olu of Songbe, His Eminence, HRM, Oba Kamil Ajadi and his counterparts Oba Olatunbosun Adebamiji Osunkojo II, Ilufemiloye1, the Akire of Ikire-ile, Oba Olatunde Quadri Adeoye, The Oluwo Oke of Iwo-Oke and Oba Husein Muyideen Adewale Olosuntedo. 

Prof. Olagoke JP also called on the traditional rulers to protect the integrity of the Traditional Rulers  institutions and work closely with the Government in tackling the menace of insecurity bedeveling the country. 

" The Government has crippled the roles of  Traditional institutions and this is the time for our fathers to shun partisan politics so as to be relevant and discharge their duties of protecting their domains accordingly "  

In his remarks the paramount Ruler of Songbe kingdom Oba Kamil Ajadi, Ilufemiloye Ojelabi II, he bemoaned the security system and urged the Nigerian politicians to remember to give back to the society that made them. 

"If they did not do the right thing they will not end well because the downtrodden masses rely on them to move the Nation forward " 

" We should not underestimate the bandits because they have dominated everywhere in the country and that is why we must be vigilant.
