Oyo state government has opened veiwing centre in the state where live matches of the ongoing AFCON Cup holding in Coted'lvoire are being televised for free.
The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Ajoke Adefemi made this known while briefing news men in her office.
According to her, the gesture was part of Governor Seyi Makinde's efforts at promoting sporting activities in the nooks and crannies of the Pace Setter state.
She revealed that the AFCON Cup free telecast is aimed at bringing the Youths in the state together and give all soccer loving fans a sense of belonging as they stand to enjoy every beat of the AFCON match in a condusive environment.
The Commissioner , while assuring that security agencies and monitoring staff are in place to ensure peace and security at the centre called on corporate companies and enterprenueurs to come and showcase their products at affordable price rates.
The AFCON football cup free telecast is going on at Adamasingba stadium, Ibadan.
Hon. Wasilat called on members of the public , especially sports lovers to comport themselves peacefully at the viewing centre.
She thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for his support to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, called on the people of Oyo state to always cooperate with Government .
"To whom much is given, much is expected. The people of Oyo State must reciprocate the good gesture of the present Administration, and appreciate all the Policies put in place for the betterment and development of Oyo State She reiterated
