The structure is dangerously close to a high-tension line on the road, posing a threat to neighboring buildings and nearby shops. Additionally, the remnants of the collapsed building could become even more hazardous if there is heavy rainfall.

Mr. Akin Funmilayo, the man people call (Mr Reformer) the state  Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development who arrived at the scene, hinted that he was alerted about the building collapse and came to assess the situation in person.

He maintained that a team from the Ministry of Lands and Housing will conduct an integrity test on the building tomorrow to determine whether the construction can stand or should be halted.

As a precautionary measure, the state government has sealed off the site and ordered the engineers to suspend their work until the integrity test is completed.
