NUJ, Oke-Ogun Commiserates With Family Over Peju Oyelakin's Demise

 



The Nigeria Union of Journalists(NUJ), Oke-Ogun Federated Chapel has condoled with the family and expressed rude shock over untimely death that claimed life of Mrs Elizabeth Peju Oyelakin.


This was contained in a condolence statement issued by the Chairman of NUJ, Oke-Ogun Federated Chapel, Comrade Ismail Ogundeji, and the union's secretary, Comrade Khalid Imran.


According to the statement, "on behalf of NUJ, Oke-Ogun Federated Chapel, we commiserate with the family, friends, colleagues and co-staff of BCOS, Oke-Ogun FM, Alaga over the sudden death of our active member, Madam Peju Oyelakin.


" We were shocked, having learnt of death which claimed life of our sister, active member and professional colleague with no hint about any sickness of hers".


" This ugly development  came to us a rude shock, that we could not maintain balance nor concentration on the next lines of action".


While paying tribute,  NUJ, Oke-Ogun described late Madam Elizabeth Peju Oyelakin as a peacemaker, active member and progressively minded unionist who sacrificed a lot for the sustenance of the chapel".


The Chapel would forever miss the deceased who was until her death a staff of BCOS, Oke-Ogun FM, Alaga and Treasurer of Nigerian Association of Women Journalists(NAWOJ), Oyo State Council.


It however prayed God almighty to grant her eternal rest and also gives family, friends and colleagues the fortitude to bear the painful loss.
