The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism (MICT), Mr Oyesola Oyedele penultimate last week led Top Management Staff of the Ministry, Medial Officers, across the Ministries Departments and Agencies to Iyake Suspended Lake Ado-Awaye for Official visit.
The Media Managers visited Iyake Suspended Lake, Ado-Awaye, Osogun village, the town of the Late Bishop Ajayi Crowther including the tree where the late Bishop was tied down by the slave traders during the colonial era in Africa ditto the palace of Alado of Ado - Awaye.
The Permanent Secretary said the present administration would improve the State Internally Generated Revenue through the economic diversification to developed Tourism sector of the State.
Oyedele hinted further that Iyake Suspended Lake is the only natural Lake in Africa urging Media Officers across the MDA's to expose it to the world to see Oyo State God given heritage.
Earlier in his remarks. The Alado of Ado-Awaye, Oba Rev. Ademola Olugbile Folakanmi, Makuledoye 1, said several groups had visited Iyake Suspended Lake to carry out their research and study tour including the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru (NIPSS) and National Institute for Security (NISS) for the. purpose of exposing the site to the world.
Oba Folakanmi said MICT visit is historical "we have confidence in all the reports, we also have confident in what will come out of your own too".
Media Officers across the MDA's displayed their God given talents of Journalism at the mountain top of the lake, like Modupe Dada, the Media Officer attached to the State Board of Internal Revenue performed live Broadcast as well as Director of Administration and Supplies, Oyo State Tourism Board, Mr Gbenga Falola climbed to the last mountain top called "Esekan - Iku among others.
The MICT team visited Iyake Suspended Lake, Ado- Awaye, Osogun, the town of the late Bishop Ajayi Crowther and Araromi Local Council Development Area. Ado-Awaye.
