OYO SPORT MINISTRY RECEIVES AWARD AS LEADERSHIP RETREAT HOLDS IN IBADAN

 

An   Award has been bestowed on the ministry  of Youth and Sport in Oyo State 

The  Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sport Honourable Wasilat Adegoke  Adefemi received the Award  on behalf of the Ministry .

The Award  was conferred  on the Ministry having excelled on  Strategic Plan Implementation  ,Quality of Submission .

It was during  a Retreat organized for  Polity Office Holders .

Responding  ,the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Hon Wasilat Adegoke Adefemi expressed her delight promising to do her best to move the Ministry forward .

 She hinted the Award would spur her to do more in serving the people of Oyo state,as she appreciated Oyo state Governor Engineer Seyi Makinde for giving her enabling environment to excel and for giving her opportunity to serve .

 Adegoke equally thanked the management and staff of the Ministry for their supports and co-operation,noting that the success stories were attained through joint efforts.

The Commissioner  said the present administration under Governor Seyi Makinde  is doing a lot to promote  sport development  in the State .

She added that  programmes that would enhance youth promotion and development  are also receiving  topmost attention  .

 She commended Oyo state Governor,Engineer Seyi Makinde as a performing governor who has impacted positively on masses as well in an efforts at moving Oyo state to greater heights in the overall interest of the good people of Oyo state.

The Commissioner  called on people to continue to support government policies and programmes  for Oyo State to always retain  her pace setting status .

OAU Political Science Alumni Honour Oyo HOS

Obafemi Awolowo University, 1989 Political Science set, OAU, Ile-Ife on Sunday organized a civic reception to honour the Oyo State Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, mni on her appointment as the State Head of Service.

The programme was held at Nest Hotel and Suites. Ibadan.

The Head of Service appreciated all  her classmates, Permanent Secretaries and other invited guests for celebrating her success in the State Civil Service. 

She said she did not lobby anybody to become the Head of Service, saying that she only lobby God to count her worthy for the position.

She advised people at the programme to put their trust in God alone and do the right thing whenever they are in the midst of people, hinting that, you don't know who is watching you.

The President of the association, Mr. Joseph Shopade said Mrs Oni was a disciplined, Cultured and brilliant student when she was at OAU Ile-Ife, she is also radical and loved by her mates.

Shopade added further that as a public servant, she is objective and committed to duty and runs an open-door policy of administration

Independence Day: ZAAG Pharmacy Organizes Community free Health Campaign, Rope skipping Competition

The  Managing Director,  ZAAG Pharmacy, Pharmacist Ganiyu Adedayo on Sunday organized a community free Health exercise for residents of communities in Kumapayi area of the State to mark the 2023 National Independence Day Anniversary. 

The event took place at the transformer junction, kumapayi, Area, Olodo Ibadan. 

Adedayo said ZAAG Pharmacy conducted the free health campaign on Malaria, Ulcer, hypertension and diabetes for the large section of the community as part of their corporate social responsibilities. 

He added that the company also organized Rope skipping competition and people came from the far and near to contest in the exercise.

He said "free Health Campaign, Rope skipping competition is part of the corporate social responsibilities from the company to give back to the community by the way of supporting their healthy living life First, Second and Third position emerged from Oyo town".

He continued "we thank Almighty God for the success of the 2023 National Independence Day Anniversary and Community Health Campaign of our company, this is the third edition".

ZAAG Boss appreciated the people of the Kumapayi community who trooped out  en-mass for the programme and the individuals who contributed to the success of the  exercise.

The event took place at the transformer junction. kumapayi, Olodo, Ibadan.

Community leaders and passers by in the area troop out in their hundreds to benefit from the free Health mission organized from the reputable pharmacy.

Adedayo said the free Healthcare exercise was organized as part of the community's corporate social responsibilities to the less privileged people to celebrate  Nigeria at 63 Independence Anniversary.

He enjoined youths and elders in the community to embrace peace and let love radiate among themselves.

One of the community leaders in Egbeda Local Government, Mr. Adekunle Ajibade commended the organizer of the event (ZAAG Pharmacy) for his support for the community.

OYSCOHEST GOVERNING COUNCIL CHAIRMAN OGUNDIWIN RALLIES SUPPORT FOR OKEHO SATELLITE CAMPUS, CALLS FOR MORE STUDENTS ENROLLMENT

The  Governing Council Chairman  of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology Eleyele Ibadan  Dr . Aaron  Ola Ogundiwin has called on people of Oke Ogun areas of Oyo State  to support OKEHO Satellite Campus of Oyo State College of Healthy Science and Technology Eleyele Ibadan in an effort at ensuring the progress and development of the  Health Institution by Government. 

The OYCOHEST Chairman made the plea when he led other Council members and  principal Officers on an on the spot assessment visit to the permanent site of OKEHO Satellite Campus in OKEHO town of Kajola local Government area of the state 

Dr Ogundiwin  appealed to parents to send their children to the College calling on the ten local Government Chairmen  to sponsor the enrollment of their indigenes  with the College.

He  reminded people to always see OKEHO  Campus of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology Eleyele Ibadan as their baby that must be supported  , nurtured  and  assisted  to ensure its steady progress  .

Dr Aaron Ola Ogundiwin  commended members of Apero Omo OKEHO and Omo ibile OKEHO for their supports forOkeho  Campus Of OYSCOHEST ,Eleyele Ibadan  .

He noted with delight the infrastructure  put  in place at the permanent site saying Government s effort must always be supported and complemented   by the people in the overall interest of socio economic and political progress of the area .

In their respective responses  ,the  Chairman of Apero Omo OKEHO  Pastor Favour Adewoye Adewole and the Chairman Omo Ibile OKEHO Alhaji Raji Salauden  said efforts had been stepped up to mobilize the people to always send their Children to OKEHO Satellite Campus  .

They both thanked  Governor Seyi Makinde for giving priority attention to the development of tertiary education  in the State .

In her brief remarks after the on the spot assessment visit to the permanent site of OKEHO Satellite Campus   , the Provost of the College Pharmacist Mrs Oluyemisi  Oyewo applauded  the effort of the Governing. Council Chairman   Dr . Aaron Ola Ogundiwin  for initiating the working tour. Commending the  Council  members for their co operation and ensuring that  OKEHO Campus does not go to extinction .

Mrs Yemisi   Oyewo equally called on parents to enroll their children as admission into OKEHO Satellite Campus is  still in progress .

OKEHO Satellite Campus was established in 2015  under Oyo  State College of Health Science and Technology Eleyele Ibadan  which was set up in 1933 to train  middle level  Health Care  Providers and workers in the Health care sector  in Nigeria  .

The Products  of the Health Institution  are  working in various health facilities home and abroad .

Committee of friends Honours New Oyo PSGA

 

Dignitaries from all walks of life,  committee of friends on Sunday gathered in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital to honour the newly appointed Permanent Secretary, General Administration, Governor's Office, Dr. Kunle Oyedele on his elevation to the position of Permanent Secretary in the Civil Service of Oyo State. 

The event took place at Ibadan House, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan where they described Dr. Oyedele as the epitome of humility, brilliant and diligent senior officer.

The new PSGA attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife where he obtained B.Sc. Degree (Agric Econs), he also obtained MSc and Ph.D Degrees in Agricultural Economics from University of Ibadan.

Speaking at the reception organized in honour of Dr. Kunle Oyedele, former President General, Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, Chief Yemi Soladoye appreciated the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde on the appointment of Dr. Oyedele as  Permanent Secretary, hinting that he served Ibadanland selflessly.

He enjoined all Ibadan Indigenes home and Diaspora to develop Ibadan first in all they do in order to leave legacy for generations yet unborn.

The retired  Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Dr. Bashir Olanrewaju described Oyedele as a man of peace who is willing to help people around him without any discrimination.

Responding, the celebrant, Permanent Secretary General Administration, Governor's Office, Dr. kunle Oyedele thanked the Executive Members Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes and the committee of friends for organizing such a gathering  to celebrate him on his elevation.

He said he will not disappoint them and would continue to contribute his own quota for the development of Oyo State and Ibadanland.
