Atiku Campaign Group Unveils in Ibadan A group, Atiku campaign Group tagged (Atiku Die Hard Loyalist) has started mobilising for Atiku 2023 Presidential election in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital. The group penultimate last week elected the Executive members that will preach the gospel for Article 2023 presidential election. Politicians across the State commended the campaign team for bring -in big wigs as well as political juggernaut to campaign for Atiku 2023 presidential election. The group "DIE HARD LOYALIST' insisted that Atiku is coming to serve every Nigeria citizens irrespective of Ethnic, religion, and Political parties. # 3,000 School fees Abolished to Allow Less Privileged Children Access to Educatfion - Oyo Govt.




The Oyo State Government, through the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun has disclosed that the present administration abolished 3,000 Naira school fees for Primary and Secondary Schools in the State to enable children of less privilege have access to education. 


She stated this while hosting the newly inaugurated National Executive Council of the Federation of Oyo State Student Union (FOSSU) at the SSG's conference room, Governor's Office, Secretariat, Ibadan.


She said the present administration had re-enrolled almost Fifty Thousand out- of-school children back to school in the State.


The Secretary to the State Government said Governor Seyi Makinde also paid bursary to Law School students who are indigenes of the State in various higher institutions of learning in the country.


"LAUTECH was suffering in the past like a child in a polygamous home, Oyo state moved in and took sole ownership of LAUTECH, it was a long costly journey.


She added further that the present administration in the State reduced the school fees of the school (LAUTECH) to help the children of the less privilege, hinting that, the State Government will continue to do something that will have positive impact on every citizens. 


She said "on the 29th of May, 2019 when His Excellency came on board, he observed number of out of school children that were roaming about the street, he interacted with them and promise to make education accessible to them all by abolishing 3,000 Naira levy imposed on primary and secondary schools by the immediate past administration in Oyo State".


In his remarks, the FOSSU National president comrade Alarape Ibrahim commended the giant strides of the present administration in education sector.


Present at the event were the Special Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, Hon. Victor Olojede, Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Services, Mrs Olubunmi Oni, mni and Special Assistant to the SSG, Mrs O.T Akanji among others.


Over One Hundred and Forty benefits from Federal Government Grant in Oyo




In Oyo State, a total of  One hundred and forty seven poorest of the poor have benefited from the Federal Government livelihood program in two Local Government Areas of the State.


This was disclosed by the Livelihood Officer from National Cash Transfer Office, Abuja, Mrs. Olumuyiwa Babaranti while on Post Disbursement Monitoring of Productive Grant to beneficiaries of livelihood in Oyo State.


According to Mrs. Babaranti the sum of One hundred and fifty thousand naira (#150,000) grants was disbursed to all the beneficiaries after series of trainings, coaching and mentoring in order to establish a business of their choice that can bring a steady source of income to the family and improve their livelihood.


The team was at Ojegbolu community in Atiba Local Government Area where she advised beneficiaries to invest more into business, think wide, continue to unite with their groups through constant meetings and contribution among themselves in order to boost their investments.


According to the Coordinator of Conditional Cash Transfer Programme in Oyo State Mr. Oladipo Ezekiel, the beneficiaries were drawn from six States, each from the  geopolitical zones of the Country  and they include; Oyo, Anambra, Bauchi, Niger, Cross River and Jigawa State.


Mr. Oladipo explained that the selection of Local Government and States for piloting of Livelihood component of Conditional Cash Transfer Programme was done by the National Cash Transfer Office, Abuja. The two Local Governments for piloting of the livelihood component are Atiba and Atisbo.


He stressed further that the National Social Investment Program of the Federal Government is world bank assisted with 4 cardinal points of Conditional Cash Transfer, Homegrown School Feeding, N-Power and Government Enterprises Empowerment Programme (GEEP).


According to some of the beneficiaries of the program, they have invested the grant in coal, ponmo, soft drinks, Rentals, Palm _ oil, tailoring, maize selling businesses  and agric farming while others engaged in goats, dogs and poultry farming .


One one the beneficiaries, Mrs. Iyabo Morakinyo, a widow expressed her joy and appreciation to the Federal Government for the life changing experience she has been enjoying since the inception of the program whereby she has been collecting #5,000 every month before she became part of the hand-picked beneficiaries of this one off grant of #150,000 . 


Another beneficiary, Mrs. Akeem Raimo, a mother of seven children was trained under the program in nylon cutting and selling and has invested her grant on a power generating set, machine for cutting and rolls of nylon for her business.

People with Special Needs will vote en -mass for Governor Makinde Second term - S.A Special Needs






The Special Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on People with Special Needs Mr. Timothy Olufemi Sunday has said that people  with special needs  will vote en - mass for Governor Makinde second term in office.

He stated this while addressing journalists in Ibadan, the State Capital.

He stated that Governor Makinde had done so much for people with special needs in Oyo State, noting that during the Covid-19 pandemic he gave the special needs community a special package that ease their suffering during the stay at home period.

He added that Governor Makinde also appointed their members as the super across the Local Governments, Executive Assistant, Special Assistant, including board member in Government agencies in the State.

According to Timothy "Governor Makinde make life easy for our members, we have been working towards his re-election in 2023 by sensitizing our people to get their permanent voters card to vote en mass for Governor Makinde second term in office.

He added that there are lots of infrastructural development across the State, hinting that, the State Government commissioned Moni ya-Iseyin road for rural - urban migration.

He charged politicians in the state to play politics of development and work together to support the present administration in the State to complete the good work beyond 2023.

He then congratulates Governor Seyi  Makinde and all Muslims in the State including the people with  special needs happy Eid li Kabir celebration.

We will continue to Grow our Economy - Oyo Govt.







The Oyo State Government, through the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun has said that the present administration in the State would develop its work force through training and re-training, as one of the fastest growing States in Nigeria.


She stated this while hosting the National President of the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development (NITAD) at the SSG's conference room, Governor's Office  Secretariat Ibadan.


She said training and re-trainning is an integral part of development in the Civil Service, hinting that, the State Government would support their NITAD National Conference scheduled to hold in Ibadan.


According to the SSG "we will continue to grow our economy as different professions, bodies and institutes come to Oyo State for study tour, there are a lot of commerce and infrastructural development in the State because of our economy and good governance".


She opined that Oyo State is one of the fastest growing States and one of the safest States to live in Nigeria.


In her remarks, the National President of the institute Mrs Igbeyi said the present administration in the State had performed very well in terms of workers welfare and infrastructural development for the masses.


She added that NITDA as a training institute is developing talents through learning and man power development across the State.

We will Continue to Support Federal Agencies to Perform their Duties Optimally - Oyo Govt.





The Oyo State Government, through the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun has said that the present administration would continue to support Federal Agencies in the State to perform their duties to the best of their abilities.


She stated this during a courtesy visit paid by the new Commandant Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo State Command FRSC cc Joshua Oluwafemi Adekanye at the Governor's Office, Secretariat, Ibadan.


She enjoined the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to work closely with Oyo State Traffic Management Agency to ease the traffic gridlock on the roads.


She added that Oyo State being a pacesetter State will continue to support federal agencies in the State to perform their duties optimally.


She said. "Federal Road Safety Corps started in Oyo State, we have soft spot for the agency and we will continue to support it to the best of our ability."


She then charged FRSC to continue to monitor motorists and further engage in public enlightenment programmes as the ember month are approaching. 


In his remarks, the new sector commander FRSC cc Adekanye fsi, said the agency would soon commence ember month campaign to educate motorists in the State.


He commended the present administration in the State under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde fnse for his support to the agency whenever the need arises.
