Governor Makinde Tactically Reduces Unemployment in Oyo State - E. A. Finance, Budget and Economic Planning

 



The Executive Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. Kolawole Ghaffar Bello has said that Governor Seyi Makinde has Tactically reduced unemployment in the State by employing young graduates to the State Ministries, Departments and Agencies in the year 2024.


In a statement issued and signed in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, Hon.

 Bello said Governor Makinde is running a people oriented Government with the massive employment of the youths to the State workforce in 2024.


He said one of the major problems confronting the country is youth unemployment which needs to be addressed across the States of the Federation to help the youths and other citizens of the country irrespective of their political affiliations. 


He added that in terms of road networks and other infrastructure, the present administration in the State  under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde has done tremendously well with the construction of roads across the seven geo-political zones of the State for the benefit of the masses, health care development, expansion of the state economy, Independent Power Projects etc. 


He said "we thank God in Oyo State for giving us a Governor that believes so much in people, he believes so much in distributing dividends of democracy to everybody in the State".


On  Security of lives and property, Hon. Bello said that the Oyo State Amotekun Corps ( a creation of Governor Seyi Makinde) has been playing a huge role as they work together with police and other security agencies to keep Oyo State safe from any form of security challenges. 


He said Governor Seyi Makinde has performed creditably well with almost 80 percent budget performance recorded adding that this administration has brought government to the door steps of the masses.


 "Oyo State is among the top five economies in Nigeria, we will continue to work together in harmony  with all other stakeholders including the international community to woo investors to come and invest in the State."


He pointed out further that what resulted in the high budget performance is that it has been the tradition of the present administration in the State to involve people in the preparation of its annual budget across the seven geo-political zones thus prioritizing the welfare of the people.

OYSCOHEST PROVOST, OLUYEMISI OYEWO FELICITATES STAFF AND STUDENTS FOR 2024 CHRISTMAS


 


The Provost of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan, Pharm Oluyemisi Oyewo has on behalf of the College Management sent a congratulatory  Christmas message to the staff and students for being alive to witness the 2024 Christmas in good health and peace in spite of the difficult times in  the country. This statement is contained in a release by the Chief Public Relations Officer, Mr Sola Samuel Ojewole. She urged the staff and students to always reflect on the significance of Christmas, which is the love of God expressed through the birth of Jesus Christ for the redemption and salvation of mankind.


The OYSCOHEST boss urged everyone to love one another and strive to do what is right at all times and eschew all forms of evil. She stated that the birth of Jesus Christ in a manger  symbolizes humility and simplicity, virtues which must be emulated by everyone professing to be a child of God. She urged all to remember the poor during this festive season, remembering that God gave His only begotten Son for us to be saved and have eternal life. 



She further implored the staff and students of the College to always work for the progress and development of the College. She thanked the staff and students for their co-operation so far, reiterating that the College  Management would always pursue  policies that will advance the course of the College and their welfare. 


She prayed that God will grant the desires of their hearts.

OYSCOHEST Provost, Oyewo Congratulates Oyo Governor, MAKINDE on 57 Birthday



The Provost of Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology, Eleyele, Ibadan, Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo has sent a congratulatory message to the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde FNSE, DSc, on the occasion of his 56th birthday, on behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Staff and Students of the College.


In a statement issued in Ibadan and made available to newsmen by the College Public Relations Officer, Mr Sola Samuel Ojewole.


The Provost, while thanking God for the life of the Governor, described him as pragmatic, intelligent, erudite, purposeful and proactive.



Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo thanked God for the gift of life He has given the Governor to add another year to his age and for giving him as a blessing to the good people of Oyo State.


The OYSCOHEST boss also appreciated His Excellency, for being a pillar of support to the Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology over the years, for his constant and continuous support for the development and sustenance of the 90 year-old Health Institution.




Mrs Oluyemisi Oyewo further prayed, that God will grant Governor Seyi Makinde many more impactful years, in good health, sound mind and all round peace to be able to accomplish more for the development of Oyo State.


The Provost wished His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde a very Happy birthday.


Oyo Forum of Head of Service,Permanent Secretaries ,Heads of Departments and Agencies Donated Food Items to Motherless Babies Homes to Mark Governor Makinde’s Birthday Anniversary




The Forum of Head of Service,Permanent Secretaries and Heads of  Departments and Agencies on Tuesday donated food items to Motherless Babies homes to mark Governor Seyi Makinde's birthday celebration. 


The forum visited Ibadan Motherless Babies Home, Yemetu, Juvenile Correctional Institution, Sango and the rehabilitation center for the disabled, Moniya, Ibadan. 


Speaking on behalf of the Head of Service, Mrs Olubunmi Oni mni, the Permanent Secretary/Inspector General of Education, Ibadan zone 2, Mrs Oyeyemi Ojo said " it is the culture of the forum to go out to the less privileged, Motherless Babies Homes every year to celebrate and donate food items to mark the birthday of Governor Seyi Makinde.


She said "we are here on behalf of the Head of Service to donate food items and to mark the birthday of Governor Seyi Makinde, this is how we do it every year to celebrate the birthday of the performing Governor of the Pacesetter State".


The Head of Service charged Civil Servants in the State to remember the less privileged in their environment and other people that were in need at the yuletide period.


Mrs Olubunmi Oni also admonished them to celebrate Christmas with moderation and maintain peace and order while celebrating.


Responding, the Matron of the Home, Mrs Aderinola Oke appreciated the  Forum for remembering their homes as part of the activities to mark Governor Seyi Makinde 's Birthday .

Hon. Kafilat Ogbara Brings the Dividends of Democracy to Kosofe Constituency in Grand Style




The 2024 Annual Thanksgiving Christmas Carol for Kosofe Federal Constituency, hosted by Hon. Kafilat Adetola Ogbara, Member of the Federal House of Representatives, was celebrated in grand style on Monday, 


The event, held at the Late Senator Bayo Oshinowo Office in Kosofe Ketu, Lagos, brought joy, empowerment, and hope to the constituents, underscoring the Honourable member’s commitment to delivering the dividends of democracy.


The celebration began with a soul-lifting Christmas carol service of 9 lessons like never before, featuring ministration from men of God under the leadership of CAN across Kosofe Federal Constituency and a medley of beautiful renditions from the Kosofe Constituency Mass Choir. Invited church choir and Guest artists, including Nike Elegbede, Florence Onakoya, Jeje Praiz, and Shade Success, graced the occasion, delivering heartwarming performances that celebrated the birth of Christ and inspired a spirit of unity and love.

The highlight of the day was Hon. Ogbara's distribution of food items, cash, and empowerment grants. Hundreds of women and youth received instant cash grants of ₦200,000 each, aimed at supporting small businesses and improving livelihoods. These initiatives were drawn from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic reforms, which focus on fostering an innovative economy and uplifting low-income earners.


Hon. AROABAMBI CALLS FOR DIVINE Solutions TO NIGERIA SOCIO ECONOMIC PROBLEM S AS GREAT REFORMATION 2024 REVIVAL COMMENCES IN IBADAN





As this year's Great Reformation Revival  commences  , the Founder of  CAC Reformation land Olunloyo, Akanran Road Ibadan Prophet Timothy Abass ARABAMBI  has called on Nigerians to always seek the face of God for solutions to poverty, banditry, kidnapping , internet fraud, corruption and bad leadership and followership



Prophet ARABAMBI made the call while declaring open an annual seven day Revival tagged Great Reformation 2024.



He said the government at all levels must work hard to create employment opportunities for Nigeria to move forward. 



The cleric commended members of the Church for their steadfastness in the Lord and appreciated the CAC Authorities worldwide  for supporting  CAC Reformation land programmes and activities .



In a Semon tagged The King has come which is the title of  Great Reformation 2024,the General Superintendent of CAC Nigeria and Overseas Pastor Dr James Onagwa said Jesus is the King greater than any other king that has solution to every problem calling on the congregation to rely on him , worship him and always do His will. 



Pastor Onagwa commended Prophet ARABAMBI for his forthrightness , commitment and doggedness in spiritual matters .



Special prayers were said for individuals , the Church and Nigeria  as a whole.







Ibadan Stampede: Oyo State Advisory Council Commiserate with Families, Extend Condolences to Gov. Makinde





The Chairman Oyo State advisor Council Chief Bolaji Ayorinde SAN, OFR has commiserated with the families of victims and the State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde over the recent Ibadan Stampede that claims lives.


In a statement issued and signed in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, the Council wished some of the victims currently hospitalized a quick recovery to those who sustained injuries in the incident.


The statement said, "we are deeply saddened to hear that many precious lives were lost in the stampede during a children's carnival at Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, on Wednesday, 18th December, 2024“.


"On behalf of the State Advisory Council, I convey my heartfelt condolences to His Excellency and through His Excellency to the bereaved families, relatives and friends of those who perished in the incident; the Government, and the people of Oyo State.."


The statement added further that, "the Council appreciates the Oyo State Government's proactive action under the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde for taking immediate action to prevent further loss of lives, deploying security agents to restore order at the venue, and providing medical and ambulance services to attend to the injured.


Chief Bolaji Ayorinde prayed to the Almighty God to rest the  souls of the Departed in eternal peace.
